Granting Flash to every green creature in your library turns a traditional proactive mono-green deck into a hyper-disruptive, instant-speed „Draw-Go“ combo engine. On Moxfield’s high-power and competitive charts, Yeva, Nature’s Herald from Magic 2013 stands out as one of the most unique green commanders, capable of assembling game-ending creature loops entirely on opponents‘ turns or in response to win attempts.
As a 4/4 Elf Shaman legend costing four mana () equipped with Flash itself, Yeva fundamentally shifts how Mono-Green operates. By letting you cast any green creature spell at instant speed, Yeva bypasses board wipes, holds up mana for interaction until the last possible second, and drops lethal combo pieces like Temur Sabertooth or Kogla, the Titan Ape on end steps to secure flawless victories.
Here is the strategic operational blueprint of Moxfield’s premier Yeva list, detailing how to abuse Flash creature triggers, execute instant-speed untap loops, and dominate table tempo.
1. Core Mechanics & Strategic Phases
Succeeding with Yeva requires fast mana dorks, end-step creature deployment, instant-speed tutors, and infinite mana bounce loops.
-
Early Game (Turns 1–2): Play fast mana dorks like Birds of Paradise, Elvish Mystic, and Fyndhorn Elves while leaving up open mana to pass reactively.
-
Mid Game (Turns 3–4): Cast Yeva at the end of an opponent’s turn. With Yeva on the board, flash in utility creatures like Collector Ouphe or Endurance to disrupt opponents during their main phases.
-
Late Game (Turns 4+): Flash in Temur Sabertooth alongside mana generators like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds or Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. Generate infinite green mana, draw your whole deck at instant speed, and win on the spot.
2. Moxfield Highlights: Flash Loops & Untap Engines
The highest-rated community lists on Moxfield optimize Yeva by running dense creature interaction and modular instant-speed win lines.
Temur Sabertooth + Selvala, Heart of the Wilds / Kogla, the Titan Ape
The core infinite mana engine. Bouncing high-power creatures back to your hand and recasting them at Flash speed via Yeva yields infinite mana, infinite untaps, and infinite ETB triggers on an opponent’s end step.
Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Hope Tender / Argothian Elder
Secondary land-untap combo engine. Ashaya turns all non-token creatures into Forest lands, allowing untap creatures to generate infinite mana that Yeva can spend immediately at instant speed.
Collector Ouphe / Endurance / Phyrexian Revoker
Instant-speed creature stax and graveyard hate. Flashing these in response to opposing fast-mana or graveyard combo attempts completely ruins opponent win conditions.
Chord of Calling / Worldly Tutor
Instant creature search. Combined with Yeva, creature tutors act as pseudo-counterspells or direct combo assembly right over opposing spell casts.
